Will you raise £200 by cycling 200 miles as an individual, or splitting the miles between your team, by the end of September?

If we can get 100 people to do this we would raise
over £20,000!

Your £200 will allow a mental health practitioner to attend the professional development workshop or 2 non-specialist clinical staff to learn essential mental health skills.

This is how we will use the money we raise:

5 workshops costing £3,000 each

Only 10% of people with mental illness get treatment in countries like Uganda. We will train mental health professionals in the WHO Mental Health Gap programme, and they will then train other health staff to recognise and treat mental illness.

£5,000 per year

We want to continue to provide professional development workshops for the mental health teams we support across Uganda. We ran our first one last year for 35 people. For some of the participants this was their first professional development since they qualified and they responded enthusiastically to the learning opportunities!

£4,500 each

2 hospitals need motorbikes to get to remote community clinics. This enables the mental health teams to run clinics where there are none, and to work with communities to reduce fear and stigma.
